Youth Minister
Nikki Short
My name is Nikki Short and I was born and raised right here in Delta, CO and have attended Calvary from the time I was in kindergarten. Growing up in church and being involved in everything that I could, helped develop my love for ministry at an early age. When I graduated high school in 2012, I wasn’t entirely sure what the Lord had planned for my life, so instead of immediately going on to college, I entered the workforce and volunteered with the youth ministry here at Calvary. It was in the next three years that the Lord placed a call on my life and a love for youth that prompted me to enter the ministry full time. I started my education in 2015 at Louisiana College, a small, private Baptist institution in central Louisiana and graduated in May of 2019 with my Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education. The Lord was faithful to grow my love for Him there, as well as my love for students and the desire to see them come into a saving relationship with Jesus. I served as summer youth intern here at Calvary in the summers of ’16, ’17, and ’18 and learned a great deal about practical, hands-on ministry. I am thrilled to be back now, serving as the youth minister since May 2019. Calvary is my home and I am blessed to be able to serve and pour into this church family who has poured so much into me. I met my husband Daniel in September of 2021 and we recently got married in November 2022. In my free time, I love to read, watch movies, bake, go camping, and spend time with my husband, and my friends and family, especially my precious nieces and nephews.
